QC Center for Jewish Studies Presents The Shireinu Choir of LI

The Center for Jewish Studies at Queens College Presents the Shireinu Choir of Long Island. The Shireinu Choir of Long Island is a Jewish mixed voice community choir that presents choral literature in Hebrew, English and Yiddish. Their repertoire is taken from traditional Jewish choral works of noted past and contemporary composers. Among the selections in this year's concert are Kiddush by Kurt Weill featuring soloist Cantor Raphael Frieder, Martin's Dream by David Burger, and Der Kapitan, a medley featuring Gilbert & Sullivan in Yiddish.
